I have several of Nova's minis that I received yesterday and wanted to get some opinions and insights before I started in on them later this week and this weekend.
I bought TOS stuff, and want to keep my paint scheme pure to memories of my childhood. Any suggestions for basecoat, colors, highlights, drybrushing, or details?
Thanks.
EDIT: Darn it, posted itin the wrong board.

I have painted these from fairly dark gray to white. I always start with at least one color darker than I want, then lighten them up from there. I end a shade or two lighter and then use army painter shading to bring it all back to the color I wanted. Also think about what color you want the bad guys/gals so the fleets are not the same color. I used a very light green high lighted up to white for the machines.

Good point about different color schemes for Colonials and Cylons. Seems very obvious, but was something that I had not thought of myself.
I think some image searches online will get me an idea of the varying colors for each fleet.
White base with green highlights huh? I will give that a try! Thanks!

Thanks, your minis look great!
I remembered seeing some pics and comments somewhere about someone using GW boltgun metal, but I wasnt sure if it was as a base or highlights. Cant seem to find it now.
For my colonials I am thinking light gray base with metalic drybrushing after a few details are painted as well. For cylons a metalic silver base and then a dark gray drybrushing.

Sounds great. I did some metal finish on some small Cylon ships and they look great that way. Finish all the TOS Cylon fighters that way.
