Missile, ASGM
Num 5, Mag =9, Ammo =5
so does this mean 45 total missiles, or 45 per launcher, or some other number I am missing.

Number = How many launchers. I.E. how many missiles can be fired at once.
Mag = Magazine. How many missiles are stored in the magazine. For instance, with 5 launchers, and a magazine of 9, you'd be able to fire 1 salvo of 5 missiles, and 1 salvo of 4 missiles before your magazine was dry.
(Five launchers is an awful lot and would generally require more than 9 missiles in the magazine. Unless you're looking at a missle "Alpha Strike" design that is designed to just unleash huge volleys of missiles and hopefully disable the enemy quickly. Either at range, or by waiting until the enemy is inside the "sprint mode" range of the missles - 8 hexes.)
Ammo = The cost in tonnage of each missile.
Where are you looking at this information?

Thanks! That clarifies it.
I was fiddling in the excel shipbuilder and then looked through the rulebook but didn't see anything. I was searching for magazine though, not mag. Should have tried Ammo too!

When you are building your ships think about game turns. The game normally goes about six turns average so don't load up on missiles you will never fire. I like the yhree tubes with a mag of 12 for most missile style ships.
