Updated part 1 of the Malta Campaign, trying a new style of writing the AAR. Do give some feedback if the style is OK

Hey Mate,
I do like the narrative style better but perhaps a paragraph between the press releases just to say what actually happened in the fight? For example one part says the British lost 2 ships and the Germans 3 destroyers and later it talks about the British only losing the cruiser Phoebe and the Germans losing the cruiser Leipzig and 1 destroyer. Also you mentioned several superstructure repairs but not really who did them or who suffered them.
In short the stories are good but the battle is not really described.
Hope this is helpful feedback.
Martin

Hi regiamarina, duly noted and will make the necessary changes on next post.
Actually the Royal Navy report was the actual story. The others were propaganda news release with the input of the other respective players, touts and "lies" spread all over our FB group page 😊

I was thinking some or all could be embelishments or propaganda which is why a little description of the battle could help. I did like the narrative though. Guess which side I'm barracking for?

I like the style. I agree a little more description of the action could be helpful.
Keep it coming!

added part 2 - sorry for long break....reality getting in the way for all of us. Sorry for lack of pix, this part did not consist of any surface battles, abd we do not have any planes represented The ships' owners taking their own sweet time to get the paint job

Added part 3 - it was played on the same day as part 2, however, have to separate the postings as it was a long long operation

Hi Evan,
I'm the campaign creator and coordinator for the Malta Convoy campaign posted by gayrat84 above.
The air carrier ops used is house-ruled borrowing some ideas from Naval Thunder.
Firstly, the air carrier ops from the British navy was used primarily as CAP and also to attack any Axis surface forces that sortied. The British side would have to divide the CAP covering the different Task Force that was created during this Malta Convoy run. Most of the rules pertaining to the air combat follows the Naval Thunder rule.
The bombing run also follows the NT rules with a slight alteration that the AAs are not pooled together but rather allocated based on the different waves of planes in the order determined by the Axis air commander. The bucket of dice approach works in the same degree but because the choice of loss falls on the defender, most of the time, the bombers gets the brunt of the hits. Allocating the dice pool do lend some sense of tension and anticipation on whether "enough" AAs have been allocated to deal with the bomber threats.
Hope this reply helps.
