Following on from the Hiraga class stats this post is also inspired by brigman's pictures of his ships...I have given a slightly reduced AV owing to a more spread out superstructure...Much of what goes for the Hiraga design is also relevant for this class (with the exception below).
The unusual layout of the secondary armament appears to have been a result of the design having a closely confined propulsion plant...which left no room for the secondary armament or magazines in that part of the ship!
According to Breyer, before the naval construction “holiday”, the Japanese naval command were inclined towards this design, but of course nothing was ever built owing to political and economic reasons...
I have given this design (as well as the Hiraga design) an AA rating 12 (minimum) – should this be higher?
As always, I am open to suggestions to gain consensus on the final stats...(brigman? Shigure? Harry?)
