This is one of the games I listed in the other thread on what other games do you play. Recently decided to get this out and played a few rousing games with my eldest son. I have a lot of wargames, but this is one of my favorites for the simplicity factor. You can play a full game in under an hour including set-up. It uses the "command and colors" combat system developed by Richard Borq who has produced several titles for different game companies. M44 and the Civil War version "Battle Cry seem to be two of the most popular. Here is a sample of a couple scenarios we recently played: If you are intersted in finding out more here is the Days of Wonder site: www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44/en/The game is well supported and has a nice forum like this one. Anyone else Play?

As a matter of fact, I do. M44 is a good, rules-light "beer n' pretzels" WW2 game. Much fun. I'm also a fan of the Ancients version... and GMT just released a Napoleonic version. Coolness personified. ;D ;D ;D ;D
