Here's a few pics from game between my son and me. Since it was only our second proper game, we did'nt really concentrate on documenting it so it's not a proper battle report but I thought you might enjoy the photos!
It also gives me a chance to show off my new Hotz game mat!
I was playing the Cylons - 3 type II 3 Blades, my son had an Acropolis and a Parthenon. (Galactica and Pegasus obviously!)
Here are the pics...
The Galactica and Pegasus advance and launch Vipers and Raptors.
Toasters do likewise!
Probably not the best strategy from me, I should have hung back a little more!
Turn 2 and the Raiders try to swamp the 2 battlestars, but the Vipers manage to hold them off as my badly aimed missiles streak past both targets!
The 2 Raptors from Pegasus hold back and prepare to Micro-Jump in to attack the Cylon baseships.
Colonials lose the initiative roll next turn and are once again surrounded by Raiders, several manage to launch nukes and one knocks Galactica's PD offline.
Galactica fires her forward batteries and manages to score 4 critical hits on the nearest basestar! 3 come up as structural failures which forces the basestar to move without spending any Delta. This allows Galactica to maneuver into point blank range next turn! The Pegasus also scores a bridge critical on another Basestar in the same turn and the last (undamaged) basestar slows and tries to turn away from the Colonials....
Next turn the Pegasus opens fire causing a second bridge critical on the closest basestar destroying it. Unfortunatley one of Pegasus' Raptors that had jumped into an adjacent hex was also destroyed.
Galactica finishes off it's badly damaged target and the last Basestar decides to spin up it's FTL and try to get away. At this point the sheer amount of raiders are taking there toll on the Vipers and the Battlestars are taking damage. Galactica manages to repair it's PD at the end of the turn but she has taken a couple of missile hits.
The last Basestar makes a break for it!
The end of the game was a close run thing; the Basestar had rolled badly when spinning up it's FTL allowing both Battlestars to close to close range. A barrage of railgun fire as well as Fusion torps finished her off. A badly damaged Galactica decided to recall her Vipers and spool up her own FTL with Pegasus following suit. 3 squadrons of Raiders managed to launch nukes at Galactica but luckily none penetrated her armour and she managed to jump away with 17 hull points remaining! Pegasus who had suffered very little damage up until that point managed to shrug of 3 ASGM hits before jumping away herself....
