Nothing left but the telling. I'll keep this shorter than I could. I setup a game of two players vs two players. Each player had one CLR and one BCF or BCB. The two players on each side had twin ships. My side was the CLR/BCF using Phazers and Torpedo, Anti-Proton. We were facing CLR/BCB using Laser, Turbo and Distruptors.
After explaining the rules to three veteran gamers the game started. And after a couple of long range shots we decided to charge the enemy fleet and I got my BCF killed after it cleverly rolled 5 ones out of 8 dice thus not killing the BCB before it could kill me. But that's how the cookie crumbles sometimes. Shortly there after we called that game in favor of letting our side tweak their ship designs and then play again.
Game #2 - In the first game our BCF had 2xPhazers and 2xTorpedo, Anti-Proton F/P/S and 2xPhazers and 2xTorpedo, Anti-Proton A/P/S. With an AV of 8. We chose to reduce the AV to 5 and with the space change the weapon counts to 4xPhazers, 4xPhazers, 3xTorpedo, Anti-Proton, 2xTorpedo, Anti-Proton all firing F/S/P.
We shot up our opponents pretty well. I did loose my BCF and CLR, but we killed both of their BCBs. After which they retreated.
This was a teaching game for players who had not seen the game before as well as my first full game instead of just tinkering around for a few game turns trying to get my head around the rules.
Everyone was very pleased with the rules and are ready to play again soon. At this point I do not have any pictures but may have some tomorrow.
