Hi, i've bought Dreadnought battlefleets and since i'm going to play the Imperial russian navy, i've checked the stats of russian ships. I've noticed that Imperatritsa marya class has just av 11, even if it's belt and turret's armour are, for instance, thicker than that on german battlecruisers. Of course, this could be the result of poor russian steel or bad design, but i think that an av 14 could be right. What do you think about it? I don't know if it has been posted before, but i'd like to know if it's available an .xl army builder for dreadnought battlefleets, and if there are some special rules for french navy, italian navy exc, as there are for german and british ones.
thanx for your kindness and keep it up!
PS: NT CoD is becoming one of the most played ruleset at my local wargame club; last friday I've found the way to fight back my NT nemesis, the mighty Queen Elizabeth.............hordes of destroyers! ;D

Quick calculation shows that the Imperatritsa Marya class should have a 15.
I'm starting to think that the guy I had do the calculations for me on Dreadnought Battlefleets, missed something, either in the forumulas themselves or just on individual ships. I'm going to have to go through and do a review of Armor Values.
Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Glad you guys are enjoying the game so much!

Hi
I have a friend who are interested in building an Austrian fleet, but is put off playing CoD because of the errors in the Ship details.
It would be very helpful if you could get the sheets checked, corrected and get Dreadnought Battlefleets corrected.

If there is some kind of update to the rules, how will this be done if I may ask? I just bought CoD, and DBF so if things change I would like to know as well.

Steel Dreadnought Games,
Per previous forum posts last year, it was confirmed that the armor values on many of the Dreadnought ships were wrong.
Imperatritsa Mariya class, shown as 11 but should be 15 (Jan. 15, 2013) Roma/Regina Elena class, shown as 9 but should be 13 (May 13, 2013) Radetzky class, shown as 10 but should be 14 (May 13, 2013)
With these known armor value errors and others suspected I'm hesitant to use the dreadnought era ships with my gaming group. The naval history buffs that attend wouldn't be happy to see battleships beaten up by the guns on cruisers. When do you think corrections for the ships will be ready for publication? I'd really like to use your rules with our miniatures.

It would be nice to get these done. In the meantime, you might compare those you believe to be wrong to ones which seem to be okay, maybe Germans and Brits and just adjust what you need.

Does anyone know the formula to calculate the ship armor value?
