Anyone come up with a hex-based plug-in for Naval Thunder, to allow it to be played over email or forum?

I think it's pretty straight-forward; my only concern is how to handle turning. Off the top, I'd say just treat each turn as 60 degrees. Anybody else have a better idea?

I'd simply use one inch hexes and convert the inches to hexes. Actually since HMS Hood just under 5" in 1/2400 converting all ships to one hex would sync the ship scale with the ground scale.
Just a thought.

Right, that part is pretty straight-forward.
In the hex-less table rules, though, you can make a 90 degree turn. Hex-based play would probably limit that to 60 degrees just due to the artifice of the hexes...

Why limit yourself to 60 degrees?
by turning 90 degrees your going from hex to line, but it's doable with a strong enough notation.

Seems like that would be harder to do... over email especially, what hex do you list your ship in?
Anybody else take a swag at this?
