I wondered if anyone plans to run any games from the NT family at either of these Cons in October? I remember some enjoyable games in Rock Con and one dedicated to naval gaming would be a natural.

Java sea has been registered, but not posted on the site yet. I also plan to bring my bag of navies for a possible pick up game depending on the mood. Thinking some Pre dread action might be in order.

Yeah, they haven't updated the event list since the 19th. Doesn't look worth going yet, just based on the list.

They posted a new schedule today.
I just sent in the following event:
Title: Pearl Harbor Counterstrike- Dec 8th 1941 an alternate history
Description: The Japanese have successfully attacked Pearl Harbor and inflicted significant damage. In addition to the missing carriers three USN Battleships and their escorts were not accounted for. In this alternate history Admiral Kimmel has continued to rotate the battle wagons for maneuvers even on the weekends and Battleship Division One is on manuevers. Immediately following news of the attack Admiral Halsey sought out the IJN strike force, but this time he found them and in a daring twilight strike Scouting 6 managed to score a hits on a IJN flat top causing significant damage. Night has fallen and in the early morning hours of December 8th Battleship Division One makes contact with the wounded carrier and her escorts limping along in the early morning darkness while they also search for the remainder of the IJN striking force in hopes of finding the carriers under the cover of darkness. Now you can play the role of Admiral Kidd aboard the USS Arizona and hope to deal a critical blow to your newly declared enemy or Admiral Nagumo and attempt to safely withdraw and escort your wounded carrier through the night until your planes can again rule the skies.
start date/time: 10/5/13 4:00 PM
Duration: 3-4 hrs
Type: Miniatures
Era: WWII
Max Players: 8
Rules system: Naval Thunder
scale: 1/1800
Game Master: Aaron Filter, Mike Bates

the who wants to be king game is going to be messy, ranges are short, lots of different ships classes in a free for all, if a ship sinks, it might block movement, add in some civvy type ships

I just completed registration for two events at ROCKCON. Will run a bunch of smaller scenarios Saturday afternoon to train new players and then run the Pearl Harbor Counter strike with some tweaks that I ran at NAVCON.
FYI today it the cut off for registering events.
