I am in a French mood today...I have been working on these for a while (a couple of years)....
There isn't much information on this class online – it seems that there were only a few drawings ever made.. The layout of the guns (and indeed most of the information) I have got from Jordan & Moulin (which is worth the money in my opinion – and I'm more a fan of the RN than anything!). It may have had a similar funnel setup to the Richelieu class.
This class was meant to be a replacement for the Algerie, but owing to the events of early 1940, nothing further was done...I propose that it was a slight improvement on the Algerie...
Assuming a mid 1940's completion date, it would be reasonable to have RDR for Fire Control.
