1. How should splashes be treated in night fighting and during shooting through a smoke? I have a feeling that they should not be taken into account.
2. Land masses block line of sight, but can I fire if my ship has got a recce airplane? I have a feeling that an answer should be positive. The radar FCS should not give any benefit in this situation.
3. Has shooting with RDR FCS with optical visibility got the same effectivity as without optical visibility (for instance through a smoke)? I know that shooting using the radar was possible during ww2 but I think that the best sollution was using optics and radar system together, not separetly.
4. What about collisions with land masses? For instance if I have got ruder or bridge ctitical hit.
5. What about minefields? Is there any chance that any rules regarding this option will be included in a rulebook?
Regards, twhistoria
P.S. In my personal opinion. Smoke should block LoS. Blind fire using RDR should cause a panalty +2 to hit (in the night and through smoke) Blind fire using reccon airplane should cause a penalty +1 to hit (through a smoke and land masses) Firing using combination of the optics and RDR should cause a benefit -2 to hit Firing using combination of the optics and reccon airplane should cause a benefit -1 to hit Combination of the reccon airplane and RDR impossible

There is a problem with the website. I'm going to contact the host tonight and see if I can get it straightened out.

1. Seems reasonable.
2. Maybe. Depends on the elevation of the land mass.
3. I think you either use radar, or optical FCS. I don't think they used both at once. Could be mistaken.
4. Ship would count as destroyed.
5. Possibly. It would be easy to make some house rules for those though. Ultimately, they were more of a strategic, area denial weapon, rather than a tactical weapon that would actually affect a battle. I'm not aware of any historical battles fought in a minefield.
