We can do larger hexes. We plan to offer custom overlays of any size in squares and hexes. The prototypes are going to be printed soon and will be available for purchase early in November. We have posted some new pictures of all the maps we will be offering in the first run here: www.corseceng.com/blog/2010/10/17/new-fabric-maps.htmlJonathan Bowen CorSec Engineering www.corseceng.com

Jonathan,
That's great news! Can you print any size? So could I get one 5x9 for example?

Cost goes up per yard with width changes. The fabrics change as well. I need to verify some things and again modify huge files to get something that big. The star field map I can easily do but the nebulas present a problem because I need to stretch the file and while the original file had enough res to stretch to 6 foot a 9 foot map may be an issue. I can do 54" wide for $24 a yard and 56" for around $27 a yard so not quite 5 foot but close. It would also cost $81. Actually I could maybe stack the blue #1 and the blue #2 on top of each other and make them look good together. That would be 12' total but I could scale them down to 9' if your willing to pay the extra cost I could try to do a 108" x 56" map in the blue nebula or star fields. Of course when I click to put the overlay on it I'll have to go watch a movie or something and come back an hour later

Hey my buddy and I both are looking at that size and maybe a third person. He is not wild about Blue 2. But I would go that way if you want to try. He might be okay with the mix of Blue 1 and 2. Also, we would be looking at 3 inch hexs.

9' maps?! Warchariot you must have a huge games room. I'm sure it comes with the big open Wyoming spaces. Not like us in Vancouver...wedged between the mountains and the sea. The suggested 6x4 map is already pushing the limit of our gaming space.

My buddies and I each have a ping-pong size table that is a bit sturdier to hold all that lead.

We are releasing our first offering of maps. The only space map available is the Red Nebula. I need to print full length copies of the others to make sure I like how they look. The samples didn't turn out how I wanted them. Also available is the Ocean and Farmland Maps. Sorry but for now size is stuck at 42" by 72". We are working out larger maps and may have them available soon. More Info: www.corseceng.com/blog/2010/10/28/printed-fabric-maps-now-available.htmlJonathan Bowen CorSec Engineering www.corseceng.com

Great news Jonathan!
I believe my buddy trent (above) ordered one from you. Looking forward to it. Great price BTW - and thanks for doing 1.5" hexes!

So... here's a quick scale question: what size overlay would be best for 1/2400-1/3000 naval minis?
Thanks in advance.

Any chance you can or already number the hexes?

I've never tried before. Let me know what kind of number scheme you want and I'll see what I can do. Jonathan Bowen CorSec Engineering www.corseceng.com

Basically a 4 digit number. First two digits are counting one direction and the second two count the other direction.
IE 0423 would be 4th row and 23 column.

Or you could go ABC for one direction, but would most likely have to use AA, BB, ect as you went.

Very nice, but personally I'd increase the font slightly on the numbers and shift them to be along an edge of the hex versus the middle of the hex. Credit to Bester as its his nice Sharlin, but this is what I'm refering to if you look at the map. b5wars.net/gallery/images/622.JPEG

I know how to do it now so if you want something more custom we can work that out. Just email us at corseceng@gmail.com. We can send screenshots to show the final product before it goes to the printer.

They should be off to one edge, but I'm not sure why you need the numbers other than for set-up?
