Are gunships 'consumed' when they launch boarding actions, or do they remain capable of launching further attacks assuming they aren't destroyed by flak or fighters? I hadn't assumed they were, but during a solo playtest game last night I watched two Colonial escorts get mobbed by the same team of four Cyborg gunships. Somewhere along the line you'd think they'd run out of scrap metal to build more troops.

I went back and reread to site the page where it says to remove the gunship and I don't see it under boarding or gunships??? We did remove the gunships as they seemed unnecessary after the boarding action. If the attacker wins they take over the ship, if they lose their gone. If they leave the ship after winning, the "crew" could take it back. After saying all that, I still thought it was stated somewhere in the rules

I had a feeling it might be an oversight. Goodness knows it's really easy to assume "that rule we all know" made it into the final version.

Maybe this needs to go into the "tweeks" file?

The "on screen" boarding we see usually or always begins with the Raider crashing aboard, trashing their ride. I'm thinking even a nice soft bay landing would see the Raider shot up by defenders before much time had passed.

The only time I remember a boarding group leaving the way they came is in Razor where Colonial troops used a Hvy Raider to sneak aboard to rescue others. We put a scenario like this in MvM...at least so they could leave again ;D

If I were a Colonial defender I'd be perfectly fine with Centurion boarders "getting away".

That implies that both boarders and boardees have survived.

I remember writing that rule somewhere. . . . it it appears to have been eliminated during an edit. Yes, the gunship is intended to be consumed during the boarding process.
