A friend and I are getting ready to start playing MvM. We haven't bought the rules yet but we are ready to order some minis to paint up first. I have two questions.
Are there certain rules for how many fighters on a stand?
How many fighters should we order per base star/battle star?
We are leaning toward the old series, but we are going to flip a coin to determine which era and then again to see who is going to play what side. Thanks

Thanks The rules say place one fighter on a stand, we use groups of three for fighter squadrons and singles for gunships-Hvy Reapers and Tigers. The number on each ship varies with it's size. The typical Basestar carriers 8-10 squadrons while the battlestar carry a bit less for the same size ship. So if you are basing them in threes like I do, you would need about 30 fighters and 2 gunships for Basestars and 24 fighter and 2-4 gunships for the Colonials. TOS carry more on the 1000ton Cyborgs however, between 15-20 sqadrons.
