Hi all! Played a quick game last night and had a few questions regarding fighters.
1) Can a fighter move away from a potential dogfight before it happens. For instance, the aggressor player moves his interceptor adjacent to my strike fighter (with the idea of dogfighting me). Its now my turn to move my fighters. Can I just move away or am I stuck in the upcoming dogfight?
2) If I initiate a dogfight with an enemy fighter (assume I am the aggressor), can the tactical player then initiate a dogfight from the same fighter when its his turn to initiate dogfights (assuming he has any left in the flight)?
Thanks!

1. Yes, you can move away. The ability to respond to your opponent's fighter movement is a huge advantage to the player using the tactical strategy. Dogfights are not initiated until after the movement step.
2. Yes. Dogfighting does not prevent a fighter squadron from initating dogfights of its own. Only strikes are prevented in that way.

Sounds good!
Here is a follow up question: Can more than one fighter dogfight a single enemy fighter at the same time (roll 12 attack dice vs his 6 attack dice)? Or is performed one at a time?
Thanks!!

Dogfights are resolved sequentially.

But you could attack with one group and then follow up with another. This is a great way to make/use wingman bonus. If you have two groups in attack position one with support and one without, attack with support and if you destory a few of his/her fighters, then you can follow up with the other group.
