I've been teaching CBF to a friend who is a devout SFB/FC player. He liked my graphic SDCs, but didn't like the overabundance of black. He also asked me to color code sections like the FC SSDs and to make them sized like the FC SSDs - two to a page. This is the result. Oh, because of his love of Trek, he prefers the base game with shields and energy weapons and isn't interested in MvM (yet), so this is the base game SDC. Attachments:

I updated my spreadsheet with a few new features: 1. I combined the base and MvM into one sheet, including cross-rule selection. 2. I added Colonial and Cyborg FC-style color sheets. 3. I made the default SDC cards capable of showing either rule set. 4. I removed the tables from the SDCs and made play aid tabs for base and MvM rule sets. 5. I added all of the prebuilts to a single Ship Class Table Here's an example of the template tab, choosing Corporate Worlds faction, shields, and choosing a some MvM fighter types. Attachments:

Here is the play aid sheet for the Base rule set. Dread, if this is showing more rules than you like, please delete the attachment. Attachments:

There was some talk about player aids early on when the rules first came out. Dread wondered why, his hope is the rules are easy and fast to pick up so no QRC or playing aid was needed. I do like the displays you have done, but the excel sheets take less room (more ships to a sheet). I've never liked having the sheets out on the table, but your color ones wouldn't take away from the game as much as the plain ones.

I agree with the idea that the rules are pretty straightforward. Once you've played a few games, I don't think there is a need for the charts. I do think it makes those first learning games easier.

Hamilton, Is there a way for you to post this as an attachment or send it to me? What you have put up looks great and I would like to try out the excel sheet with all the stuff together and print the color temps also.
