Hi folks,
I may be dense, but I just noticed in a game of MvM last night that there is no life support crit on the MvM chart. Okay, actually, the friend I was explaining the rule changes to noticed! Is that intended?

Yeah, the way life support criticals worked, they were problematic with the other damage rules in MvM. Plus you never that I recall saw a ship get damaged in combat on the show and then have it's life support fail. They must have been pretty robust. So not on the crit chart.
I really liked the way the Structural Failure crit turned out though.

Thanks. I understand the reasoning, the only time I remember vac suits was in Water when they were surveying the bomb damage, not during any combat sequences.
I like the structural failure rules a lot. We are going to try adding it to the base game without changing the crit chart by imposing a point of structural damage each time you pass 1/6, 2/6, etc. Hull damage. Or should that be 1/7 increments? That's something that wasn't immediately clear to me - does the sixth point of SF kill the ship (when the last shield box is checked off), or is it the seventh (a further point of SF when all shield boxes are checked off)?
