I am planning on going and in the process of designing a game to run. The problem is that I am lacking in Japanese destroyers as I only have six at the moment. Otherwise, I am set and just trying to figure out how many ships to put on the table.

you could use each destryer to rep a group. at least thats what i get from reading rules. there is the optation of running more cap ships....

Well, hopefully I'll have 16 Fubuki's from England by Navcon so my destroyer problem will go away, but all the ships for the first game are cruisers and capital ships. I might try running two games, the first as an intro and the second as a large slugging match. I'm thinking of throwing one of my Amagi BCs out on the table for the first match. It will certainly get some attention but I think my H44 will get a bit more... That ship is just massively ridiculous.

I'll be running my game in 1/3000 scale. It is not the most popular scale here in the US but it is the one I chose a while ago and I really like the variety of ships available.

NavCon - One day conventions which are a 2 hour flight away just get under my skin. With my Napoleonic Naval miniatures I would love to go to NavCon but the time/distance/cost equation just doesn't work.

speaking of nav con, thay just started posting games that are being run right now. nut much listed so far and nothing of naval thunder from what i seen. i guess i might have to run something then....anyone else doing a game or showing up to the con at all and would like to trade a few shots later in the evening let me know. i plan on bring a fleet in 1000 scale and 1200 is easy to fight agist.

I'll have all my ships there to Oooh and Ahhh over and hopefully I can find some more to buy. My game isn't up yet but it should be in the morning and is for up to 10 players. I'm probably running the same game at Rock-Con in a month as well with some modifications from what I learn at Nav-Con.

Glad to hear a con devoted to naval would have alot of NT games. Maybe this will swell our numbers here as more people are introduced to the game.
