There's a local game store that is selling some old metal naval minis. They have some Davco, Viking, GHQ, Mini Figures(?)pre-dread, and others.
It's the others I'm wondering about because this is what they have the most of. They seem a tad smaller than the GHQs and the others are a tough comparison.
I was just wondering if there was some other way of checking scale. There is not company name, scale, city name, etc. They're in a small plastic bag, very small, with a piece of paper that looks as though it were typed.
I'm thinking 1:3000 based on the GHQ comprison.

Th easiest way would be to find a ship that you know the scale of, perhaps from your own collection, and compare it to one of the new ones.
Just based on your description though, I can tell you if the miniatures are "somewhat" smaller than GHQ, then you're probably looking at 1/3000 scale. They're all in one piece, right?

The major producers in the 1/3000 scale seem to be Navwar, Davco, & Skytrex. This scale seems to have originated in the UK. We have mixed scales in Pre-Dread and WWI actions without any problem. If the price is right go for it.

1.00 per blister and yes they're all in one piece.
I don't have any and am new to the hobby, so I'm looking for ships to get started. I wrote down all the ships in the Bitter Rivals scenarios (British, German and Italian) and will probably pick up a few. If anything it will be good painting practice.

We look forward to seeing the painted ships. Posting pics is not hard. If you require assistance there are several here that can help.
