Very well done. I like the clear bases more all the time.

Great job. I like the weathering (wash) you added. How did you paint the aircraft recognition stripes? Freehand or did you mask?
I always liked the Italian ship designs.

nice ships...but why does the Duca d'Aoste look likes it bent up in the side photo of it on the base....meybe its just the angle that i looks like the mini is folded in the middle a bit...could justbe me seeing things. but nice ships anyway.

Shigure,
the GHQ ships have small grooves etched into the decks to mark the air recognition stripes. Makes painting them a lot easier.
Top job Foxbat. No camo schemes?

Beautiful! Very nicely done. The dark wash really brings out the details and makes them look realistic. What did you use for that?

The bases are from Old Dominion Games Workshop and from Litko. GHQ Minis indeed have groves to mark the borders of the recognition stripe, so it's not too hard to paint them. The black wash was made with water, aerograph paint (it's already liquid) and some Foture floor wash, it works especiallyt well on GHQ ships.

Look good. I like how the stripes go under the anchor chains on the bow
