Hi all! On page 45, it states that "If a weapon is partially blocked by the shield, but has leftover shield damage remaining, it counts as a non-penatrating hit that struck the hull.
I always took this to mean that half the remaining sheild damage was applied to the hull and no crit. (Is that correct? }
Ex. CA 1 has 2 shields left in its front arc. A single Turbo Laser hits the CA in the front arc. Does it do 2 hull points of damage (Turbo Laser: 6 Shield Damage = 2 to sheilds, 4 remaining cut in half = 2 hull points). Or do you do 1/2 of the Hull Damage rating of the Turbo Laser which would be 2 (4 H Damage cut in half).
Again, I just assumed it was the first example but wanted to make sure.
Thanks!

Half the hull damage rating. Exactly as if the weapon had struck an unshielded hull but failed to penetrate.
