I was looking for some decent nautical fiction set in the Pre-Dreadnought era. One suggestion that I received was "Buller's Guns" by Richard Alexander Hough. Anyway, while trying to find out more about this book, I came across the following website which lists many many volumes of "Nautical Fiction" by author . . . and many references have a brief description of the work. Since the list covers all periods, you might find some books to inspire you in your period: www.boat-links.com/books/nfl/nautfic-01.html#indexI hope that you are able to find something of interest at the above site. And please note that this "thread" may certainly include your suggestions of nautical fiction that have inspired you (be sure to mention the period covered by the book). -- Jeff
