I made it to Rock Con last night. I was able to pick up some RJW used ships someone bought at NAV Con and realized they were the wrong scale. So he passed them on to me. They are a combination of Viking Forge and PS. Today my Panzerschiffe order arrived, so it was time to get painting my Yellow Sea fleets. I decided to use some of the Viking Forge models. They were previously poorly painted, so it took awhile to clean them up. I also decided to add custom masts after seeing how nice the 1/1000 Houston models looked. I could not get all the croos members at 1/2400, but I think I captured the look. They were very easy, but time consuming. Imperial Russian Navy Battleship Division: Tsesarevich (Viking Forge): Retvizian (Panzerschiffe): Pobieda(Viking forge): Peresviet(Viking Forge): Sevastopol(Panzerschiffe): Poltava(Panzerschiffe): Next up are the Japanese which are now drying.

Here are the rest of the Russians for the Battle of the Yellow Sea. I tried a new technique for building masts which I am very pleased with. Basically, I used finer gauge wire vs. the styrene rod I was using and constructed the masts in two parts with a thicker lower mast and thiner upper mast.. They look much better, but are a bit more delicate as well. Hope you like. Askold: Diana: Pallada: Novik: DD Flotillas: Next up will be the rest of the IJN.....

I had to work this weekend, but had some time this afternoon to continue revising my RJW fleets with new masts. Only two modified BBs today.

The masts are a nice touch. I suspect you are just using Superglue to set them in place? Or are you drilling a small hole first??

You have to drill, if you don't you will be knocking them off all the time. The good news is it doesn't take much of a hole.
