Here is a link to a Japanese movie clip from awhile back that a buddy found, enjoy: cityofart.net/bship/tsushima_movie.htmlFrom the site: Excerpt from a 1969 Japanese feature film (10:37). The film shown is Nihonkai Daikaisen (tr. "Great Naval Battle in the Sea of Japan"), directed by Seiji Maruyama and starring Toshiro Mifune as Adm. Togo. The film was made using large models of the two fleets and quite convincing pre-digital effects.

The Japanese movie special effects people were always pushing the envelope with their Sci-Fi and Anime films. This looks like one of their better efforts.

I don't have the links, atm, but Kolchak ("The Admiral") had some pretty good clips from the WWI/Russian Revolution era. I'll see if I can't dig them up and link them here. www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_rNUH3hKzM&feature=relatedThere... that should do it. I hope.

I picked up a copy a year ago on eBay. It was titled "Battle for Japan Sea." Had some nice bits from the land action side. I was impressed that whatever nationality you happened to be, the dialog was recorded in that language.
