Hey Fellas
thought I'd try to come up with data for the never built Alsace class battleships for my French. This is what I have for the first option:
MN Alsace – Fast Battleship (Type 1: 9 x 15” gun version)
Hull: 160 Speed: 8 FC: STD AV: 20 SAV: 7 AA/ASW: 6/0
Move Step: Battleship Shoot Step: Battleship To Hit: 7+
Main Battery Layout:
Size Guns/Turret #Turrets Arc of Fire
15”/45 3 2 F/P/S
15”/45 3 1 A/P/S
Secondary Battery Layout:
Size Guns/Turret #Turrets Arc of Fire
6”/55 3 1 F/P/S
6”/55 3 2 A/P/S
3.9”/45 2 4 P
3.9”/45 2 4 S
Gun Data:
Size S M L X Pen Dmg
15”/45 19 38 57 76 13 10
6”/55 13 26 39 52 4 3
3.9”/45 7 14 21 28 1 2
Aircraft:
1 x Recon, 1 x Flt Ops.
Notes:
I kept the AA fairly low as the French AA and dual purpose guns were generally pretty poor and had a slow rate of fire. It has a slightly higher AA number than the Richelieu as it was to have more DP 100mm guns and 37mm AA guns but still would have had no where near as much AA as the US Refit Richelieu.
Any thoughts most welcome.
