These four battlecuisers would have ruled the Pacific until the Lexingtons showed up. Even then, it would have been pretty close. Amagi was destroyed by an earthquake and Akagi became the carrier we all know and love/hate and despise. I have four of these again thanks to Navwar. I really do love those guys...

There are some additional items to consider in your between wars never-was or never-completed IJN ships. If you wish to play as built the Amagi would have 8 x 24" TT (4 per side). The design also added 6 x 4.7/45 AA guns ( 3x1 per side).
If you wish to use in WWII (consider refit), drop the 8 x 24" TT, the 4.7" AA and at least two 5.5"/50 (one per side) and add 8 x 5"/40 ( 2x2 per side).

I would think the AA rating might increase to at least a 15. I have seen a model built of the IJN Amagi modernized with a Kongo type pagoda that had 12 x 5"/40 (3x2 per side) with 2 x catapults (one on each beam, even with the after superstructure). Secondary armament was 14 x 5.5" or 7 per side.
