Been a busy week with other projects going on. As promised here is a quick pictorial summary of my "Little Wars" experience.
I was not able to arrive until after 6PM on Friday and I was scheduled to run a Naval Thunder event "Prelude to Tsushima" that started at 7PM (seperate AAR will be coming).
Fortunately I meet Mike at the door and he showed me where to set up after check in so all was ready to go on time.
We had a total of 6 players including Mike and I as well as one that joined up part way through.
"Prelude to Tsushima"
During the course of the game we a couple of breaks for the Flea Market as well as to check out the other events going on.
Stalingrad:
Knights:
After a Late night Friday Saturday Morning was reserved for Playing "Tsushima" run by Dave Himm using his 1/1000 Houston models. It was slated for 11 players and I think we ended up with 9. Overall a great time.
Tsushima:
Had a chance to explore the rest of the games as well as the vendors once Tsushima ended before helping Mike set up for the Savo Island scenario he was hosting.
Alamo:
Axis and Allies on Steriods:
Battle Cry in 54mm:
Mike's Savo Island:
Once Savo was over both Mike and I were pretty tired. We had already agreed we were not staying until Sunday. Instead of tryig to set up a pick up game I decided to just check out some of the other action going on and the then head for home a bit earlier than originally planned.
French Indian War:
Overall an excellent event and a nice venue. I had not attended Little Wars before so I cannot compare it to previous years. Based on my experience I will definately go back if available. he only thing I will change is to take off Friday so I can enjoy the full day.
