So, after much procrastinating, the stars are now right. Ships painted and first ever CoD:BotB game planned for next week.
The scenario is loosly based on Battle of Port Arthur, with numbers adjusted for balance, so that the four of us can get a feel for the rules.
Some of the guys are strictly Axis & Allies rather than 'rivet counters', so hopefully the pitch will be right!
Keep you posted.
Cheers, Wilf

That's great. Definitely take some pics and tell us a little about what happens on the AAR board.

What?! . . . who called off the flogging? I hadn't heard about that. I had planned my whole day around watching it . . . hadn't you?
Well . . . a good game report with photos will have to do I suppose . . .

PS, the above is supposed to be humor . . . I don't really want anyone flogged . . . well, other than certain political figures (I'm sure that you all have your own lists of these).

LOL!
And there was me thinking that the beatings would continue until morale improved?!
Well, just back from the wargame club having umpired four guys at the table - all seven Russian battleships out of Port Arthur (having ignored any historic torpedo damage), versus four of six of Togo's battleship squadron plus Kamimura's armoured cruiser squadron.
Russians held back and scored some significant blows to the closing Japanese, sinking the Tokiwa CA and causing some serious crits to three of the Battleships. It wasn't all one-sided, although it must be said the dice-gods were smiling on Russia.
First time out for everyone and I think it was a success! Will upload some photos in due course.
Cheers! Wilf

If it is any consolation, my cellphone is so old that it does not take photos and doesn't text either.
