Ships for the Battle of the River Plate The Graf Spee Ajax and Achillies And Exeter. I recently saw a painting (after I was finished painting the miniature, of course) that depicted the Exeter returning from the battle. It had an unusual paint scheme with a darker bridge area and yellow funnels. Anyone heard that or have any information on if that was accurate?

Info. from Warship Profile No. 13, HMS Exeter/Heavy Cruiser 1929 -1941. Per that publication the Exeter was repaired and patched up as much as Port Stanley's limited facilities would allow. The two b & w pictures of the Exeter returning home after the battle do show a darker hull and a lighter upper works. On page 18 the front of the superstructure looks to be much darker (maybe same color as hull) than the rest. The funnels are a light color, but it would be difficult to confirm color in a b & w pic.

Yours look great as is, I wouldn't worry about repainting.
