Hi, just bought the rules COD and have a question re: the movement/speed of ships. Example:A battleship has a speed of 5, in it's turn does it have any options apart from turning/evading, MUST it move the full 5 every turn or can it move less or not at all in any turn? Thanks, Roger.

It can chose. Remeber thought to lose 1inch per turn, we forgot in our first battles :-)
Their are optional rules for acceleration and deceleration at the back of the rules I think if you want to add more tactical complexity.

Yes, in the basic rules you can move any amount up to 5 undamaged. In the optional tules you can use acceleration/decelleration which I recommend. It varies by class of ship.
