The saucer and secondary hull are quite different to the ones used interchangeably on the CA, DD, SC and tug miniatures. Fine for conversions in your own universe, of course.

I've finished modding the DN models and will prime them up tomorrow (hopefully!). Here they are waiting for a basecoat: FF-DD-SC FF is a wooden disc and some gem stickers to make the saucer, and I shortened the warp engines. The DD and SC are just the DN center engine mounted below the saucer, SC adds a bunch of the sensors from unused hulls. I made 3xFF, 3xDD, 1xSC NCL-CA-BC The cruisers. NCL is a pair of center engines mounted up top and some green stuff to make the additional top hull. CA is the DN without center engine and the struts angled higher. BC is the DN with saucer mounted lower and struts horizontal. I made 2xNCL, 2xCA, 2xBC DN-BB DN is the base model as-is. BB adds a pair of the left-right engines on the saucer. I made 2xDN and 1xBB. I ordered 16 DNs; I still have enough to make a CVO (old-style carrier, will take lots of green stuff to make the flatbed!) and its escorts (NAC and 2xDWA) and have an entire DN plus plenty of bits left over. So for 15 DNs I'll have 20 models made for $30.

I have finally finished painting up my Fed conversion fleet. I still have to mod and paint up the shuttlecraft and fighters, and I plan to get some dry-transfer numbers to distinguish the hulls.

Wow! Those are absolutely gorgeous! Now I'm dying to get to work on Federation Battlefleet!

I added NCC numbers (just the numbers, no 'NCC' prefix) with some dry-rub transfers. Still haven't worked on the fighters - there will be a hiatus while I study for a certification! I went with an Elizabethan theme for the ship names, mostly non-canonical: FF 0305 Drake 0366 Hawkins 0374 Raleigh DD 0520 Shakespeare 0531 Marlowe 0556 Spenser SC 0599 Walsingham DWA 0876 Cecil 0881 Hatton NCL 1540 Gilbert 1558 Bacon NAC 1568 Dudley CA 1727 Essex 1733 Fawkes BC 1768 Pelican 1769 Revenge DN 2105 Dreadnaught 2114 Golden Hind BB 2157 Effingham CVO 2209 Queen Elizabeth I TUG 3823 Dee

And by the way, today when I tried the link it reads "Product '0202ZC' is not available at this time."
