Ok, this is more a theoretical question, I'm not expecting a solid answer, but here it is. In MvM, the Acropolis Refit class is the Galactica (mass 723), the Parthenon is the Pegasus (mass 884). Fine. I like my minis to look somewhat size appropriate (I'm a physicist), so I've weighed the actual minis, and created a graph so when I add a new mini to my fleet I can find it's game mass by weighing it and seeing where it falls on the graph. It actually gives really good results and my minis look right. I get most of my figures from Hanger 18 so there is also that consistancy working for me. The problem is my new Kronus Titanstar. It mass about 5X the Galactica and the hanger bays alone are almost as long as the Galactica. Looking at size comparision of the Titanstar class ships on Wolf Shipyards shows that these numbers are correct. So to use this mini in the game (and all the others that are being made by Hanger 18 and Ravenstar, etc) we need to go above 1000 for mass, and or special rules for really large ships. I would imagine Superstar Destroyers would have the same problem. I'm probably just being too picky - it is after all just a game. Michael

Michael,
There are several ships out there that are way larger than Pegasus/Galactica. Dread made the call not to include those as they were not really in the show and because thay don't fit the unbreakable system because, as you say, they would be over 1,000 mass so would need more hard points. Dread has never wavered from this, as the system is built around these idea. Having said that, I have designed for some of these ships, Ravenstar Titan for example and just made them 1000. You of course could up the mass, hardpoints ect, but that would break the system.
PS Dread did some SW ships for Gencon and stayed within the limits, can't remember which ships exactly...

A super star destroyer would probably be considered a battlestation under CBF rules.
Some of those super-giant battlestars were just a little over the top in my opinion, so I didn't want to scale the game around them, but instead kept the focus on Galactica/Pegasus.
Also, keep in mind size does not necessarily equal mass.
