When I look at the relative armour ratings of Russian ships in other rules sets there’s no indication that the Petropavlosks had such weak armour, they are usually equivalent to the Borodino class. That’s why I’m suspicious of an error under NT.

Thanks for the reply. I looked at both the book and the spreadsheet, they are both AV8 for the Petropavlosks. It just seems a low value compared to AC’s which have higher AV’s when I check the actual armour thickness and type. Fuji’s Seems low as well. It must have had some thinner armor somewhere that brought down the overall value.

Can anyone tell me what the formula is to work out pre-dreadnought armour values please?

Hi,
Is an AV of 8 correct for the Petropavlosk class of battleship. It seems very low for a class with a Krupp 12" - 14.5" main belt and 12" on main turrets?
