Finished these off yesterday, but the light was terrible, so I photographed them today.  These are conjectural 1930 BB designs for the IJN, as custom built by Sir_Valentine over on the War at Sea ForumMini boards.  First time I've painted any of Sir Valentine's excellent work. Just different enough to be a challenge, but I think they came out well!     First work I've done for me, for FUN, in way too long. Thanks Val, these were beautiful to work with! |

They were interesting designs for sure. The Hiraga design sported ten 16" rifles, and the Fujimoto design had nine. Both probably would have been in the ballpark of the Tosa/Kaga design, but improved. Anyway, thanks, I'm glad you like!  |

What scale are the models Brig? 1/2400?
It looks like you have the Gibbons "Battleships" book as well - I recognised it straight away...

The models are 1/1800, to match all the "A&A: War at Sea" minis I use for Naval Thunder. The Gibbons Battleship book is great - definitely where I first heard of these girls. Thanks fellas! |
