fencingfrog.blogspot.com/2015/06/naval-thunder-at-whiz.html A friend of mine and I tried this game for the first time I liked it a lot but I have concerns about "Balance" Points wise two Kongos should be a good fight for one North Carolina but this did not seem to be the case. My friend did negate his advantage in torpedoes by his maneuvers and then just as he got clear I got a lucking critical destroying his torpedoes mounts. I found that the penalty for splash markers actually put the more numerous ships at a significant disadvantage how do people address this?

Nice pictures of some good looking ships. In the first post, the gentleman in the picture could be my buddies long lost brother! I thought it was him at first! The point system is not a true look at this ship vs that or a way to balance out scenarios. It is there to show the cost of systems on a ship compared with another. This really shows if you try to pit a large ship against a few smaller ships with equal points. If you go to the extreme, say a BB vs destroyers, it can go either way depending on the torps. Try one of the scenarios and once you get a feel for how things work, you can design a few scenarios and balance them out.

Yes the points system really gets better the more ships that are in play. When you have only one or two ships per side, its pretty ballpark.
