Who counts (and how many times) for the wingman bonus in dogfights?
The rules say the wingman squadron must be "adjacent", but is that adjacent to the friendly engaged squadron, adjacent to the enemy squadron, both squadrons or either?
Can a squadron be counted as wingman for more than one friendly engaged squadron? E.g. three squadrons are in a V. The two outer squadrons are engaged. Do they each gain +1 for the squadron between them?
Can adjacent squadrons be reciprocal wingmen to each other? I.e. two friendly adjacent squadrons each roll +1 on their dogfight rolls? What about in the above "V" formation example - would all three gain +1 if separately attacked?

You can only ever have one wingman (so only +1) (P.52), it has to be adjacent to your squadron is the only condition mentioned.
From the FAQ:
Q. How many times can a fighter squadron provide a wingman bonus to another squadron?
A. A fighter squadron may provide a wingman bonus only once during the player’s own dogfight step, and once during the opponent’s dogfight step. If a squadron provides the wingman bonus during the player’s own dogfight step, that squadron may not initiate dogfights of its own.
So in your first example no you'd only get +1 in one of the dogfights because the centre squadron can only use its bonus once in its own turn.
Not so sure about the second example, each fighter squadron could theoretically give the one of the others a wingman bonus if they were attacked one by one but they'd still have to be adjacent.

It is possible to provide reciprocal wingman bonuses when you are on the defensive, because the only penalty to providing a wingman bonus is not being able to initiate a dogfight or conduct anti-shipping strikes (because you were involved in a dogfight).

It is possible to provide reciprocal wingman bonuses when you are on the defensive, because the only penalty to providing a wingman bonus is not being able to initiate a dogfight or conduct anti-shipping strikes (because you were involved in a dogfight). This is why when you attack and what you attack is so important. This also means you can either attack or provide the bonus and then on the defense give and recieve a bonus, all in the same turn.
