Yes, with all the upcoming travel I have to Belgium, France, & China, I need an extra month. Kinda puts a damper on any gaming.

I had some time tonight, so I started working on this project. Up first are the three Russian Cruisers for the Battle of Ulsan Painting does not take to long, but scratch building the mast does add a bit of time. I knocked these three out in 3 hours including dry time. Next up will be the 4 IJN Cruisers......

Nice! You might try wire or rod if you think these are a bit thick

The Japanese definitely have the advantage . . . but remember that they start in a very widespread line abreast . . . which might create some difficulties in maneuver.

I just printed the data cards and want to make sure I am using the correct ones. The Russians are easy (11,11 and 8) Because of spelling inconsitency I am not sure I have the correct SSID for each ship Tokiwa(Asama class) SSID 6 Azuma, Izumo and Iwate are all the same class SSID 8? TIA, Edit: I just found this link which seems to give a decent set up diagram. www.navalwargamessociety.org/scenarios/The%20Battle%20of%20Ulsan.pdf

Hard to say without the rules in front of me. Sounds right. A lot of those cruisers sometimes were spelled with a 'd' in the name also.
Sounds like Izumo and Iwate were slightly different from Azuma. Don't know if those differences wound up being significant enough that a separate class was created for them.

Thanks for the reply. The PDF I linked above is actually a nice scenarios for Ulsan with a diagram and list all the ships with the proper classes. Izumo and Iwate are the Izumo/Idzumo class Azuma is Azuma/Adzuma class Tokiwa is Asama class. I am all set up waiting for my friend to arrive. We are going to start with Ulsan and then move to either Yellow Sea or WWI Dogger Bank....maybe all three is time permits.

Bluebear, I'm not seeing your Avatar anymore, I can see others. So is it me, or has it slipped under the waves?
