I've just ordered a number of 1/2400 scale RJW ships from Panzerschiffe . . . and I was going through the various "Cruisers" which they offer and looking them up in the "Rise of the Battleships" Data Cards.
I noticed something a bit "odd" (to me) about the various "Protected Cruisers". Now, in general the Russian CPs are heavier and worth more points than the Japanese CPs. But what I noticed was that all of the Japanese CPs are rated as CRUISERS for movement and shooting, while all of the Russian CPs are rated as FLOTILLA for the same.
I'm not saying that this is wrong; I am just curious as to why you rated them that way since I'm sure that you had a good reason for it.

Let me go back and look. Could have just been a case of a design decision that didn't get updated correctly.

One of the things I wondered about was if it was an attempt to give the Japanese a slight "tactical advantage" in the shooting phase (as they certainly had in the conflict). But you might have had another legitimate reason for it.
Please note that I am NOT arguing the matter . . . am I just curious about it, so I will appreciate your reply.

As I suspected, all the protected cruisers should be moving & shooting in the Flotilla step. I'll add that to my errata file for the next time I do an update.

Oh, you mean that I caught an error? I just figured that you had a reason for it.
Please let me know when you update the RoB on Wargames Vault so that I can download the new one . . . oh, and I took that from the Data Cards. I have NOT looked to see what the Excel printer thing has . . . it might or might not have them as Flotilla (you should check that too).

It probably has the same error. I'll check.

Harry,
Have the appropriate files correcting this mistake been uploaded to Wargames Vault yet?

No. Leslie has not had time to do any layout/file work for any of our projects. She is very busy. Fortunately, she finished up a big project over the weekend and might have time for SDG stuff again.
