Well Rise of the Battleship II is up next, then probably a couple Colonial Battlefleet fleet books. All of those should be fairly easy projects compared to a core rule set though.
After that I can take a look at Ghost Ships.
Maybe I'll publish the Montana stats as a freebie though.

I would be very pleased to see a Ghost Ships for WWII as well... :-) Another random question... Are you planning to do a post WWII Naval rule set? Just curious...

No, won't be doing post-WWII. However, it's likely I'll be doing a "War Plan Orange" supplement at some point.

What year are you planning the War Plan Orange supplement? It could effect the combat effectiveness of ships undergoing rebuild (ie. Kongos) or major refits.

Dunno yet. Trying to decide between early 20s and early 30s. Thoughts?

If you go early 1930's the airships Akron and Macon would still be available for the USN. Many of the new CAs would be available. The premise for war could be the rumored or real activities the Japanese took to install strong defensive positions in the mandated islands. Depending on the date we would have to see what major vessels would be available (not in rebuild) and what armament they were carrying at the time.

Early 1930's would be my own personal preference. But... early 1920s might offer some interesting possibilities - the RN 1921 battlecruisers, "Saint" class, USN original Lexington design, IJN Kaga, etc. Just my NZ$0.03 (US 2 cents) worth...

What if you used the Washington Naval Treaty as the catalyst for going to war?

That's kinda what I was thinking as one possibility. Negotiations fall apart, so no treaty and war follows.

The only powers to have sizable navies at that point would be the UK, USA, Japan, France, & Italy. You could have a spat in the Med between France and Italy over Northern African colonies. Japan, if threatened, will go south for oil again and U.S. logistic capabilities would probably be in bad shape. So it might be awhile before the U.S. could respond to any kind of agression that far away. Would the UK go to war over Dutch colonies in Indonesia? So, at least a couple of interesting scenarios are possible.

Hello:
I just picked up a copy of Naval Thunder and after a quick play though really like the rules. I'm in the process of building out my fleets and would like to add in some US and Japanese Navies from the WWI period - is there a source of additional data cards or will they be covered in a planned supplement.
Thanks Miles
You can look at my initial fleet builds on my: blog:http://lairoftheubergeek.blogspot.com/

Glad you're enjoying them!
Yes - US, Japan, and more will be in a forthcoming supplement. That supplement might be happening sooner than I imagined now that I have some folks I've recruited for data card work.

TheDreadnought,
Any idea how soon the "Rise of the Battleship II" will be available?

Thanks for the quick answer - August/September sounds great. No worries if it's a bit later than that - I'm well know for underestimating the time it takes to complete wargaming projects!
