Just a confirmation question, really.
While no examples I could find show any aft-firing weapons, it would be possible to build ships with batteries or turrets that fire into the Aft arc., correct?
Along this line, P DEF dice (and Flak batteries) can be used against targets attacking from the Aft arc, right?

iirc, The only limitation in the book on firing arcs is that any weapon mounted on a given hardpoint *must* fire through the arc associated with the hardpoint. Which means that 2 or 3 arc turrets mounted on the port and starboard hardpoints can fire into the aft arc. The official shipbuilder spreadsheet has options for it too, so I'm pretty sure thats the correct interpretation.
What you can't do is have aft-only weapons, since there are no hardpoints with aft as their associated arc.
As for PD, I'm pretty sure they are good for a full 360, but I can't think of a reference off the top of my head to confirm that.

Yes, exactly.
Aft-firing weapons have to be mounted in a 2 or 3 arc turret so that they can cover the aft arc as well since there is no dedicated hard point there.
PDef & Flak Batteries can fire at any adjacent valid target regardless of position relative to the ship.

In looking at the spreadsheet I see the arcs for the side-mounted turrets, which does answer the question.
Thanks for the replies.
