As part of a demo at a local hobby store and mall we played a reduced ship version of the Yellow Sea. View the description on my blog at www.campaignsinminiature.blogspot.com Comments welcome. I see now I made at least one mistake as referee and player with turns, but now I know better. A good time was had by all. Cheers, Michael

I left a comment (with some links) on your blog. Looks like an interesting battle (again). One of the joys of the Yellow Sea (main divisions) fight is that it is really quite even for an historical encounter . . . not only can either side win, but either side could be down and come back to win too.
How did you find the crowd reactions?

They were generally quite interested. Several questions about how much to get started, where to find things, etc. But the most asked question was: "where did you get those shells splashes?". I admit I like them a lot but.... I've also used golf tees in the past and although they are better than using chits, the size tends to dwarf the ships. These are about right.

Set up a few more games and they'll be hooked.

Your "link" to your blog does not work by the way. Edit your first post to remove the "." after "com" and it should work then.

Michael, Awesome site now that I can get there. Just realized we played at ROCKCON together. I commanded Renown and Ramillies. Small world as I am on my way home from Door county and delayed in appleton tonight due to the storm. The other Mike who commanded the Itallian BBs lives in IL. He has been to Janesville for some NT maybe we can all coordinate to play some RJW some time as we are itching to play Tsushima now that I have the fleets complete. Really like your blog and would like to do one someday. Thanks for sharing,
