All, meesch56 (aka Mike) has graciously agreed to host a NT mini con next Sunday at his home near Mendota, IL. Ideally we would like to get a few more players if anyone is close enough and free next Sunday. Rough plan is to start mid morning with WWII in the Pacific(Savo Island) and then move on to CoD or RotB in the afternoon. If we have enough players possibly even full scale Tsushima. I will have all my fleets with me and a few scenario options printed out. Spanish American War fleets are ready should Harry bless us with the release of RotB2 by then. Maybe an advance copy to test play. No models required to play as we have more than enough for the time alloted. Depending on response we can put together a meal plan so as not to impose on Mrs meesch56 Depending on how the afternoon goes I am thinking we would wrap up by dinner or shortly after as I will have a bit of a drive myself. Please respond if you think you can make it for all or part of the day. Directions will be PMd to those that can make it. I cannot wait to see Mike's fleets in person. Hope to see some of you there and put some more faces to names.

Please pass on my apologies, it may be a little bit of a drive for me... I would love to see photos and an AAR, however... Thank you in advance Mike (and Mrs Meesch!), for your hospitality!!

I could probably make it. Need me to bring anything? Great! Should be no need for gaming materials unless you want to bring a draft copy of RotB2 and test play. As we get closer I will check with Mike as to what we can do to help out with meals. So it looks like we are up to 4 which is a great start.

I can make it on Sunday. It'll take me a few hours to get there, but I do like driving. I might bring a few dice with but I won't bring the "lucky" dice I used in the Denmark Strait game I wrote about.

I want pictures and AARs. Lots of them. I will do what I can....I may have to borrow a camera as my reliable nikon is no longer reliable and tends to dump pics.

Wow! This Sunday is shaping up very quickly. I picked up some snack items but was wondering what we should do for lunch and dinner. Our Farm is a bit out in the sticks but, there are a couple of places that claim to deliver. Mrs. Meesch has consented to my play day but, has also informed me that she is "getting out of Dodge" for most of the day. I hope that she can join us all for Dinner. There are several restaurants in Mendota or we could do a Pot luck. Ideas???
PEL- SAVO Island -Pre Lunch hosted by Mike B aka Meesch56
After Lunch Aaron will allow us to scuff up those "Purdy Ships" of his.
I'm Psyched, Mike out

Mike,
I like the pot luck idea. Sounds easy and should not create much extra work/expense for our hosts. I will bring a cooler of assorted soda and bottled water so you do not have to worry about beverages. Any special requests let me know. I am a diet coke and diet mt dew guy.

I could be cool with going out to eat somewhere too. Either way.
Do we need "beverages?"

I'll probably have some Sunkist with me as it's my "driving" beverage. As for food, it would probably be easier if I bring something to heat up in the microwave. I can't have anything with gluten in it which always makes things interesting when I go out to eat. Aside from that, I have some chocolate around here somewhere.

All,
I just sent a PM to those who responded they are coming with Mike's address and a google Map link.
Mike, may may want to PM everyone with your home phone in case anyone has issues in route.
Are we still looking for a 9:00 AM start time?
Does that work for everyone?

I think 10 might be a little better for those of us who are driving. I'm not even driving that far. What do others think?

I am fine with 10 AM...maybe I can get there a bit early and help Mike set up. He anticipayes Savo Island taking approx 3 hrs we can take breaks whenever needed.
I am guessing my drive will be 1.5-2 hrs.
Depending on how many confirm attending I have not committed to what we will play second. Most likely Tsushima or Yellow Sea. I will print all the sheets later this week and have them ready.
