10am is a fine start time. Savo should only take 3 hrs if we play it out to the bitter end. (my Brother Gil and I tend to do this....old habits). 2-2.5hrs is what the Convention game took at the Williamsburg Muster.
Potluck it is I will make up some Turkey Chili.
BTW- we do have a Microwave available.
I drink sugar -free Tea and have all but stopped drinking soda. So BYOB might be appropriate if regular Ice Tea or Sugar-free are not to your taste. I do have some Beer on hand if that suits your taste. The Mom and Pop Mexican restaurant in town makes a killer Salsa so I will have some of that on hand.
Farm disclaimer: Be aware that we do have Sheep and border collie so if you have Allergies be advised. We are a Farm.
Speaking of my Border Collie. He found himself on the wrong end of a skunk last night. So were off to the bath. Oh Joy!

Another possibility for the t-shirt contest...? Speaking of my Border Collie. He found himself on the wrong end of a skunk last night. Is there a good end?!?

On the skunk altercation, someone said that there was a video on 'Funniest Home Videos" of a Japanese tourist chasing a skunk because he thought it was a striped squirrel. I don't think I would have wanted to be on any airplane he had to go back to Japan on... ;D
I will be one of those travelling up with Dreadnought.

Yes, he works with the Dreadnought. I don't think he has posted on this board, but has posted some info. on 'The Miniatures Page". He has played in everyone of the AARs I have posted pictures of here. I believe he helped Harry playtest the game and is an avid A&A player. We might be able to add a fourth player ('mmaker'), who also works with Harry.

Yeah, definitely have a fourth from this area now. Cool and then there were 7. I spoke to Mike last night and he thought he can comfortably accomdate 8 with the scenario he has planned and space availble. Of course being the gracious host he does not want to turn anyone away. If anyone else is considering making the trip you might want to speak up soon as we probably only have room for one more with 7 confirmed. I will get busy printing RJW sheets for the afternoon battle. I am thinking we will give Tsushim a try. Having never played this one it may be a bit big for even 7-8 players. Per the diagram it appears that it will fit on an 8'x4' playing surface. I will defer to the more experienced for advice if we should scale it down. If so what should be left out? Looking at the sign up for "Little Wars" it appears Dave intends to run Tsushima as two events with a preliminary cruiser event and then the Main Battle lines. Logistics: Mike and I are working out plans for the gamining table. He is going to be a bit short on folding chairs. I will throw a couple in with me. If someone else has some and can fit them I suggest bringing some even if they stay in the car. Food: Mike is going to have Chili along with Chips and Salsa. I will bring a cooler with some drinks to share. If you have a favorite "beverage" bring it along. I will also provide some sandwich fixings (bread, cold cuts and WI Cheese) I know a couple of us are on a special diets so we should not need alot. If someone could bring the following: -Condiments anything else you would want on sub style sandwiches -Other favorite snack items -Maybe a side dish Otherwise I think we will be good. Can't tell I am a Logistics officer in the Army can you?

We should be able to run Tsushima with 7 players. The key is dividing up forces appropriately, keeping things moving, and making sure that everyone is doing as much as possible at the same time.
Did Jutland in 5 1/2 hours at GenCon a couple years ago.

I will come with all the ships on indivual data sheets and defer to the more experienced on how best to divide up the fleets. One last logistal note. I only have a couple sets of dice and rulers/tapes. If you have your personal favorites that might be a good item to bring

Have fun, guys. It will be my wife's 70th birthday so I'll be spending it with her and going out to a restaurant of her choice.
Of course the fact that I'm a couple of thousand miles away from you does come into play too . . . *grin*.
Please remember to take lots of photos . . . and once again, HAVE FUN!

Bluebear, Fly to Chicago and with a $2.25 subway ride and a $10.00 Amtrak ticket you can be at Mendota's Union Depot in no time. This is 6 miles from my farm. I'll pick you up. Seriously, Happy Birthday to Mrs Bluebear........I've never been to Vancouver Island but I admired it from afar while enjoying Dungeonous crab at a restaurant in Port Angelas.

Jeff, Mike has a point. Mrs. Bluebear will have a Birthday every year and there are 364 other days you could celebrate anyway. How many opportunities are you really going to get to play full OoB Tsushima with Harry? ****disclaimer In case my wife ever reads this I was just kidding.
