G'day all
My Russo-Japanese war ships have arrived from Panzerschiffe and wow, was I surprised at the size of the Russian cruisers, they are longer than the Russian pre-dreads, if the scale is right they must have been really big cruisers for the era.
I'm going to make some masts for all the ships as in Afilter's post re making masts. Oh and great post Afilter
Regards, Zoranno

The big difference between the big heavy cruisers and the battleships of both the pre and post Dreadnough era was in the size of the main batteries and the amount of armor . . . both reductions in weight allowed for more speed for the cruisers.
Some CAs were considerably longer than their nations BBs. For example in the Spanish-American War, the USS Brooklyn (a heavy cruiser) was over 400' long, while the BBs it accompanied ranged from 350' down to just over 300' in length.
There were smaller CAs, but there were monsters too . . . so don't presume mistakes . . . just remember the relative lack of armor.
