I thought that i would say hello to everyone on here. late oct at nav-con was the first time that I played naval thunder with the 1/1000 scale clash of the dreadnaughts game with the crew in milwakee that runns the game. I played in the very first slot of the day with the russian vs japs game and i got to play the flagship leading the jap to victory over the bloody russians. needless to say both of my ships where not in very good shape when both sides let the battle go....the flagship did not make it back to port though...sigh...
anyway, i also played a ww1 pick up game with a couple of people later in the night and the effert for the germans was to get a way from the brits.....i said frag it and truend around to fight them..not a good idea with just cruisers....i think i had one ship that was able to say i give up....the amont of turrets was rather confusing on some of the ships trying to keep track of.
i just decedied to down load the rules for the ww1 set and the turn of the centry rules which i have to say nit is a very easy system to run and under stand after reading though a couple of the books real quick. i have to wait for a friend to finshh painting my jap fleet to be able to run anything. but i am going to have to run some game of this and see what we can do for play style.
i went to rock con and picked up a bunch of the 1/1000s scale ships that where for sale and have a 2 battlehsips, about 7 cruisers and 4 destoryers for the 1905 jap fleet. i also picked up a bunch of other ships at little wars i have to figure just what they are. i think they might be some britsh and us ships that where in a boxed lot i grabbed from someone. i will have to get some pics up soon of the rather large fleet i have been working on for some time. Between unchartered seas, dyson wars i have many ships to use for any of the above games along with lots of civil war stuff i have been picking up also from thoughbreads lineup....
anyone done stats for thunder for civil war stuff?
