i know everyone has been talking about the differnt scales for ships that you all use.....here is a very silly idea to try playing our for a battle.... the setting is no real importance for who is doing what to whome. the battle is in different scales on the same table...the reason is that two sides ran in each other..they found out opne very small issue.....they where fighting gaints in much bigger ships.....try to figure out a battle and how to adjust the fleet effort when your fleet is one side in 1/1000 and the other is something like 1/3000 or something....or even 1200 vs 2400 or something....or if pull out something like 6000 vs anything the fleet makes up for it in number of ships vs good things that the bigger scale is using idea..the bigger scale works out the fleet as normal for the points you wish to play. the smaller scale depeneding on how small halves the points or even 1/4 if they are really small and then treat the ships with much less hit points they can take....or even turrets as one gun of a certain size. like if you are shooting at 3000 or 6000 treat the big guns as an area effect weapon like 2 or 3 inchs across and the smaller scale combing ships into one gun or return fire....something about fighting ants at those scales... werid idea and thought i would toss it out here for something different to do if a few people have different scales and want to fight wioth something different...would work as a con game also. sorry, most rambleing with an idea......carry on....

It would be no contest as the larger ships would be able to range on the smaller ships long before the smaller could range on the larger. Therefore all small ships sunk without firing a shot.

but you do allow something so both sides are even for ranges though......but as i said its a silly idea.....it would require some thoughts put into so both sides would be able to be even with out being a one sided turky shoot.
