got a copy direct from the source, Clash of Arms games. I think it is super useful and would highly recommend it to anyone. While there are plenty of pics of USN vessels on line, there are not as many especially for many axis and smaller nations.
It also has specific paint color recommendations from specific companies and ideas on recreating the colors effectively on the tabletop. Again, I think one could find a lot of this info on line, over time, but for $20 this seems like a great deal and a time saver.
There are only a few copies left, <10, so if you're interested in it, get it before it's OOP.

Is there a link for this? Or did you just go to CoA games?

www.clashofarms.com/cas-paint.htmlIt should also be noted that their naval game, Command at Sea, has wonderful scenario books that can be used for NT:BR. While I don't like CaS (in the extremely complicated nuts and blots style) I picked up the Pacific book, "Rising Sun" which has over 50 scenarios. I'm now especially interested in the early war coalition against the IJN, a mish-mash of Dutch, UK, Aussie, US, et al. Several interesting naval engagements were fought and they'll play nicely in NT.

For those so inclined, the author says that the information on British and German ships especially is long OOP and hard to get. Don't know if that's still the case. Certainly this is a cheap compilation of a lot of information that is probably only published at the hardback book level. For me, reading it has helped me to clarify and assimilate the bits and pieces I've gotten online from great sites like www.shipcamouflage.com, et al. I also feel more confident about the paint schemes I'm choosing and trying some possibilities I hadn't considered before since I can see how they look in the diagrams.

Got my copy. Nice cross reference on paints such as Floquil, Polly-S, and Armory. The Bibliography contains several references for those looking to increase their naval library. Many of the references are out of print, but can still be found from time to time on Ebay or Amazon in their used books.

Unfortunately the same is true for some of the paint info, but it still helps to give you an idea what the color was like. I do wish he came out with a 2nd, updated edition, but maybe that's in the cards with this edition nearly OOP. For paints, I also find it useful to ask at www.shipmodels.info/mws_forum. As a modelers site, they tend to take the details of painting, etc a lot more seriously than we.

I visit the site (shipmodel) often, especially as they have a lot of info. on Japanese Maru's. Those guys are truly fanatics for detail. I detail a lot of 1/1200-1250 Maru kits from Alnavco and an occasional poorly repainted model I pick up on Ebay from time to time.
