Played a very quick "Sink the Bismark" game to test mechanics etc. Enjoyable time. Not a lot to report: Bismark sunk in 4 turns. Hood and Prince of Wales both have over 120 points of damage remaining. One thing I know I was doing right, moving Hood at the same time of the two battleships. Which effects firing in a big way. I look forward to trying out a few games to test out some things. Here's a little bit more about it on my blog: itineranthobbyist.blogspot.com/2011/11/sink-bismark-naval-thunder-style.html

it just seems to me that a lot of games on here are done in 3 or 4 turns at the most it seems before one side is out of the count. i played one game that seemed to last forever and we where playing ver quick and the gamne went 14 turns or so. have to start playing some solo stuff to ge more of an idea though. anyway, sounds like a cool game though and welcome to the system.

Glad you enjoyed it. Hope you'll post some more writeups with pics here. . . we'd all love to read them! Thanks for sharing this.
Yeah, 3 ships on the table is a very small game for NT. . . and Bismarck definitely needs the help of Prinz Eugen in this scenario. That said, while I've seen Bismarck get very close to escaping a few times, I don't know if I've ever actually seen the Germans win.

Working in a International company as a Subject Matter Expert means that I usually get plenty of frequent flyer miles in a years time. If we don't meet at a con perhaps someone centrally located like we planned at Hedgecon could host a weekend day of gaming at their home. Go St. Louis Cardinals. Sorry to all you Cub fans out there...There's always next year....
