I hope he does so we can try out some of the "what if" scenarios. I'm going to do some studying before I post ideas. Something along the lines of and Iowa with more armor, slower speed. Adding the 4th main turret should be easy. Are there stats already for the 5"/54 guns?

Take a look at the other ships in the database and we should be able to get close.

Been meaning to post the Montana stats as a freebie. Hopefully once I get net access at the loft I can do a lot of these things that have been on my "to do" for a while.

Is that the 20"? Or the ship itself?

Both. ;D
Nisk and myself want to have a slug fest using the Montana and A-150.

I'm sure Nisk and myself can come up with stats for the A-150. Could you post the stats that you have for the Montana? I'll put it on a stat card if it's just the raw data.

Well you should have stats for the various weapon systems. So Really I guess you just need hull points, armor value, speed, AA rating, SAV, right?

According to Breyer's Battleships & Battlecruisers & Conways, the A-150 design Super Yamato class (hull 798 & 799) would have had 6 x 20" guns with 18" belt armour. Type displacement is listed as 70,000 tons and supposedly particular attention was to be made to protective equipment. One Japanese book I have states that 100mm (3.9") would have replaced the 127mm (5") guns in the heavy AA role. The drawing shows 5 x 2 (3.9") per side or 20 x 3.9" total. Hull dimensions seem to be identical to the Yamato.

Yeah, the big problem is we don't have real numbers for range, shell wt, muzzle velocity, and penetration for the 20" guns since they never made them. Anything for those would have to be made up.

We'll just have the Yamato going at it with the Montana then.
